Design your ideal translation environment!

Imagine the perfect computer assisted translation environment (CATE). How would it look?

Submit your idea to the DGT EMT Challenge!

Your entry can focus on the whole CATE or a single aspect, and can be in the form of an essay, a user guide, a design study with screen mock-ups. Enter individually or in teams. It’s up to you.

Consider how you might incorporate machine translation and terminology, maximise usability, manage data, and aid collaboration.

The winners will be invited to the annual Translating Europe Forum to present their project.

A jury of DGT staff, EMT professors and industry representatives will select the 3 best submissions.

The jury will be looking for projects that show a deep understanding of the CATE, including machine translation, and how AI could be used to serve best the translator’s needs.

Register by 30 April 2021

Submit your entry by 15 July 2021

Registration and submission links will be shared soon.
