Theory and practice of translation:  translation quality assessment, certification systems for translators, the issue of standards, didactics and pragmatics of translation, certified translation, cultural analysis for translators, history of translations and translation studies

Travel literature: history of the genre, travel guides, translation of travel literature, mainly from the 19th century to modern times: in particular Mark Twain’s travel literature, comparative study of travel literature
